Jabber/Linux environment? </FONT><FONT face=Arial size=2>I am trying to
setup a Jabber Server for experimentation on RedHat Linux 6.2.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I have the sources set up in their respective
subdirectories /jab/pth-1.3.5, /jab/adns-0.8, /jab/libxode-1.0,
/jab/libjabber-1.0, /jab/libetherx-1.0 and /jab/jabber-transport-1.0. I
installed all libraries after doing ./configure, make, make install and
ldconfig from the root of each subdirectory.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Everything seems to be fine until I run "jserver
&". The system reports:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> jserver: error in loading shared
libraries: </FONT><FONT face=Arial size=2>libjabber.so.1</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial
size=2> :
cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>though the file can be found in
/usr/local/lib.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>What have I done wrong?? Thank
