[jdev] is everybody using XMPP without knowing it?

And if you're not proven wrong on this, do these messages conceptually
look anything like XMPP messages, albeit with a completely different
serialization? I'm thinking of how e.g. RDF has many different
serializations around a single conceptual model. Also, is this
documented anywhere?
