Hi all,
I'm completely new to this mailinglist, so I shortly introduce myself.
I'm Dominik Renzel, a researcher from RWTH Aachen university, and my
group has been and will be developing for and with XMPP with great
interest, mostly in the area of Browser-based XMPP applications.
I hope that this is the right place to post, what I have to post... ;)
Recently, one of my students and me completed WXG, a FLOSS
implementation of a gateway for XMPP over WebSocket, as drafted in
http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-moffitt-xmpp-over-websocket-00 we would
like to share with the XMPP community.
WXG is available at github since today: https://github.com/hocken/wxg
As I learned from http://blog.superfeedr.com/xmpp-over-websockets/,
there already exists a module for ejabberd. However, AFAIK there exist
no FLOSS solutions for gateways or integrated solutions for other
servers, so we hope WXG will be useful for some of you.
Of course we'd be grateful for any feedback!
Cheers,
Dominik
