After a year's hiatus, the XSF applied again this year to participate in
Google's Summer of Code program, and we've just found out that our
application has been approved!
The XSF is happy to act as an umbrella for any XMPP-related software
project. In past years we have worked with projects like Openfire,
ejabberd, Psi, and Gajim, and we look forward to doing so again this year.
Our org admin this year is Mike "bear" Taylor. I'll let him reply to
this message with more details, but first I'd like to think him in
advance for taking on this role! It's not a lot of fun to be the org
admin, but GSoC is very rewarding and we're looking forward to some
great projects this summer.
Onward and upward!
Peter
