You are arbitrarily glueing together different parts of an unofficial
wiki document, and leaving out parts of these examples even. I
wouldn't get my hopes high of getting success like this.

Please base yourself on http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3920.txt and
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3921.txt That's the only official and
correct way to implement an XMPP client.
