[jdev] High availability scalable (erlang?) transports

I was wondering if anyone had put any time into writing an interface
for transports in Erlang. In particular I know of a few companies
right now looking to find solid scalable transport solutions for a
variety of the other chat networks (MSN, Y!, AIM). I can imagine a
solution for doing this using Erlang to run the service, and talking
back to lib purple.

Anyone know of anything like this being worked on?
