There are no concrete plans, but also no objections. The process for
submitting new service discovery identities is defined here:

http://www.xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0030.html#registrar-reg-identity

That said, I don't see why we would need gateways to things like Google
Talk or MXIT -- after all, they use XMPP. :)
