Hi Norman.

[root at localhost ~]# locate libpth
/lib/libpthread-2.5.so
/lib/libpthread.so.0
/lib/i686/nosegneg/libpthread-2.5.so
/lib/i686/nosegneg/libpthread.so.0
/usr/lib/libpthread.a
/usr/lib/libpthread.so
/usr/lib/libpthread_nonshared.a
/usr/local/jabber/pth-2.0.7/libpth.la
/usr/local/jabber/pth-2.0.7/.libs/libpth.a
/usr/local/jabber/pth-2.0.7/.libs/libpth.la
/usr/local/jabber/pth-2.0.7/.libs/libpth.lai
/usr/local/jabber/pth-2.0.7/.libs/libpth.so
/usr/local/jabber/pth-2.0.7/.libs/libpth.so.20
/usr/local/jabber/pth-2.0.7/.libs/libpth.so.20.0.27
/usr/local/lib/libpth.a
/usr/local/lib/libpth.la
/usr/local/lib/libpth.so
/usr/local/lib/libpth.so.20
/usr/local/lib/libpth.so.20.0.27

It looks fine, doesent it?
ldconfig did not help (what did it do?).

So unless you have other suggestions, i think might install ubunto, and
see if that changes anything.

Thanks!

/Lars
