[jdev] How to publish the server.

Hi,

 

We have customized eJabberd open source server and we want to test implement
it by installing it in Public IP machine. The server works fine in our LAN
and we are able to connect through emulators. But when I ported the client
application in a mobile device and tried to connect to the chat server via
internet hosted on public IP machine, it says "SERVER UNREACHABLE".

 

What is the way to make the server reacheable to the client? What is the
exact procedure? How to publish the server? And how to access it from
device?

 

Can anyone please help me? I am struck with this. Thanks in advance.
