Another factor is the existence of "detail pages" at jabber.org such as
the following:
http://www.jabber.org/software/ejabberd.shtml
It's nice to have those at jabber.org but I think those pages should be
the responsibility of the relevant projects. That would enable us to
more easily create such pages for clients, libraries, and components, too.
Then we have the "feature scores" here:
http://www.jabber.org/software/servers.shtml
I think those scores are helpful but potentially misleading, since they
are not based on objective compliance testing (only self-reports). Until
we do such testing (maybe in '07 or '08), I think it doesn't make a lot
of sense to post those feature scores.
