True.
But we have quantity instead of quality.
Many unfinished, or barely stared projects.

Maybe you could put your efforts in improving one of them instead of
starting yet-another-one?

These clients and servers need developers.

Do you really want to write yet another client that doesn't even
support SASL or Privacy Lists?
Is there a need for yet another perl mail-checker?

I know starting something by yourself might be tempting.
But working as a part of a team is something that may be really
worthwile trying up. And really usefull in real life. You'll learn the
same tech skills as while working by your own, but in addition many
new, usefull group and social skills.


PS. It's not meant to bash you or something. It's more like a broader
thaught, that you just triggered. :-)
