[jdev] Java library recomendation

Hello. 

I am starting a project about the jabber protocol (at the begining, just
a simple client, later something... bigger) And I would like to have a
recommendation.

I want to use Java as programming language (actually, I have to), I
thought that JabberBeans would be ok, but seems tha the project is
death... 

I have been having a look at some libraries, actually I am foscused in
two of them: 

+JSO : http://jso.jabberstudio.org/
+Smack : http://www.jivesoftware.org/smack/

The first seems to be quite good, the second looks very easy to use.
Have any of you guys any recommendation?
