I'm aware of this approach, but having a *real* style service with output to
the event long is easy enough to get done. Did you add in redirection of
stdout/stderr to the event log? That would be pretty sweet.

I'm on my way to getting stuff to build, but whether it runs or not is
anyone's guess...
