I don't like that aspect either. I think much better would be for you
to authorize a URL or domain to have access to your credentials, e.g.
drupal.org. Then on Drupal, you just enter in your JID, but no
password. System asks jabber server "tell me who this guy is, if I am
allowed to know".
But of course the protocol or infrastructure for this doesn't exist.
the jabber.module does.
