[jdev] One million concurrent user

Mutliple IP addresses. Call it 60,000 available ports per IP address. Realistically I have sourced 7,000 synthetic users from a Compaq DL380 dual cpu box with 1 GB of memory. All connections used SSL. (testing did not concern unencrypted connections.) At that point the Compaq DL380 was pretty much out of memory and evidence of virtual memory management activity was visible.

Cool! TCP sockets?
TCP Header Source Port field is 16 bit. Wonder how this would work?
