[jdev] Using jabber for playing go

Me and a group of other go fanatics (the board game) are considering
using jabber to create a network for playing go online. Unfortuantely
none of us really know all that much about the technology. Would
jabber be suitable, and what kind of advantages does it offer.

Unfortuanately I don't really understand all that much about internet
communication technology, I'm just involved in the discussion and
liked the idea of using jabber.
