I was going through the jdev posts, and found this in response to a post
of mine. Could you keep me and everyone else informed about any progress
on the simplification of the recovered Wiki page?
Regards,
Nolan

| Exactly myself and others were working on this type of thing on the
| jabber.org wiki (which doesnt seem to be there anymore), but Peter
| kindly found the following URL to the google cache of it.

| No one else really seemed interested in it up until now. If I were to
| produce a new spec I would simplify it much more but it gives the basic
| jist, i.e. you communicate a file hash utilising the industry standard
| cid: URI which allows the recipient to retrieve the file via standard
| file transfer should they want to, nice and simple and seems far more
| "jabber like" to me.
