Further to Peter's post about the ASPSMS-T, I have an old one I wrote as 
an experimental Jabber interface with my companies own SOAP based SMS 
gateway, the code for that is freely available ( java based, out of 
process transport ), however the service we provide is commercial, not 
sure how we compare to ASPSMS off hand.
