Which server are you using?

- jabberd2

  The c2s and sm components are handling the user accounts directly, not
  using the Jabber infrastructure. Therefore you have no real access to
  the data from a Jabber component. - But you can modify the storage
  backend jabberd2 uses (e.g. a SQL database) from the component
  directly.

- jabberd14 / wpjabber

  Yes, a component can create accounts. You just have to store a
  password for the user with an xdb request.
