I got ahead of myself in editing that post, and realized this showed up
a little out of context. XHTML-IM makes a great example of why a
certification program could give benefits to us; if it were a
requirement for one of the certification levels, then people would have
to not only implement it (and thus increase the overall featureful-ness
of Jabber clients), but would have to implement it in a way that was
found to be standards compliant by the certification board. :)
