WPJabber is basically a fork of 1.4.x (at some point), replacing all
of the pth stuff with pthreads. I would be VERY concerned about
sliding in code that was designed (and works) with stock 1.4.x into
wpjabber. You'd really need to grok the new threading model, and all
of the changes they did in order to know whether or not internal
modules for 1.4.x will work ok w/ wpjabber.
