Thanks for your help. As I have yet to have time to review JEP-0124, I
don't know if it will suit my needs. If it does, all the more better. But
if it involves polling, as some are claiming, then it probably will not.
The Flash player isn't terribly swift.  Also, it would mean not using the
XMLSocket object, meaning significant changes to existing Actionscript
code as well.
