There is nothing like an internal component in jabberd2. Sure you can
write an "external" component ... but you can even write it independant
from jabberd2 as a proxy ... you would just have to change the root
element and insert/delete the zero bytes.
But you will get problems with STARTTLS and SASL if you try to add
security layers.

BTW: What you are doing with Flash is no XMPP and as far as I can see
Flash is not able to support XMPP at all. I am even not sure if I would
call it Jabber what Flash uses at present.
