Well, not quite as cross-platform as Java :) But much faster and slicker
for UI development. Java obviously reigns supreme on the backend with
J2EE. And, while there still is no Flash Player 7 for Linux, it's
currently in beta.

Sorry if my previous post was a bit acerbic, but there are a lot of
pre-conceived notions out there about Flash, largely driven my its history
for building cheesy popup ads and site intros, and it's just a massive
uphill battle for the Flash community in general.
