In case you're not familiar with it, the Helix Community is a group of
developers working to extend the HelixDNA platform, which essentially
consists of codebases open-sourced by RealNetworks. The Helix Community
has a fairly generous grant program in place. It would be great to see
one (more more!) grant proposals from people in the Jabber community, to
explore ways of integrating Jabber (streaming XML) with Helix (streaming
media). I've set up a dedicated mailing list for discussion of such
integration. If you are interested, please poke me on Jabber or via
email and I will add you to the list. Please note that the deadline for
grant submissions is October 3, so time is running short but there is
still time to create and refine a strong proposal before the deadline.

The following URLs will give you a good background on Helix:

Thanks.
