[JDEV] What's up with the newsgroup?

Thanks for the answer: I cannot even ping news.gmane.org (from Norway): I
get request timeout.....

Can you reach it by pinging?

Try adding a news account where the server = news.gmane.org

Once you've added the account you can subscribe to the newsgroup.

Add it the same way you add a new mail account (I forget the exact menu
since it's been a while since I used Outlook).

I don't know why the nntp:// link isn't working for you, it should make
the new account automatically.
