[JDEV] Does IBM chooses XMPP or SIMPLE?

Most large companies have several divisions that work on competing and
sometimes contradictory ideas. They are all traded under one name, but
for most practical purposes these units are quite separate (I am
avoiding the term fragmented). The net decision (throwing their weight)
is really a weighted decision of the various units within a company
coupled with their relative importance in the internal food chain.
And then there is marketing...
