Hmm, IMO we should just link to the documentation provided by the client 
developers... It's their task to provide decent documentation IMO.

Indeed, but IMO this is not primary, it's a nice bonus though :D

I can do this part. Already developing phpBB and working on the Jabber 
integration. phpBB 2.2 will have native Jabber support but I can put 
this support into phpBB 2.0.x as well (for this site).

I'm also working on a portal/CMS project that's based on the 
internationalization, permissions, templates, etc, etc systems of phpBB, 
but that will take a few more months before it's usable :\

Overall this all sounds like a good idea! Now let's see if we can get a 
team of devoted people together...
