Actually, someone else used 'official client,' so I just adopted the same
terminology in my posts. 'Recommended client' works. I don't think
'supported client' (that someone else suggested) is any better than
'official client' because it implies the other clients are unsupported,
i.e. might not work on that server.

And can I just note this whole terminology discussion is kinda silly in my
opinion? No offense, but my impression is that everyone agrees /something/
has to happen to bring more general IM users onto Jabber, and there's even
a general consensus on the basics of what needs to happen. Can't we decide
what everything will be called /after/ we figure out better what needs to
be done? :)
