My opinion here is that since anyone can start a portal+client website, I 
don't see why the JSF could not be a part of it.  If there really is a 
disagreement about which client to give the masses, we can hold a vote.

I agree, and I think we need both.  We should pursue all avenues at once. :)  
The current client listing is totally lacking on jabber.org, and a nice site 
with screenshots and reviews would be great.  But I also think we need that 
jabber.net (is this the codename by now?) portal.
