[JDEV] Between karma value and data flow

Hi all,

Karma is a throttle for data throughput.
In the 「Programming Jabber」, it mentioned the relationship between entity's karma and 
how much data it is allowed to write roughly.

Is there any more detail informations or documentations to the topic?
For example, 

1. How does karma's penalty compute from data traffic?
2. What is the formula between <init>, <mat> and <inc>...?

I want to understand about karma, and estimate data flow more accurately.

Any pointer will be grateful!
