This is no problem for me. Both these seems very natural choice to me
and I don't see a reason why shouldn't I implement any of them. I have
SASL already implemented (own implementation, no "ready" library used).

I don't like this. It is far from being Jabberish - both CPIM and S/MIME,
and CPIM even more. However, I understand why IETF wants this that way
and I am ready to implement this if it becomes the standard. IMHO RFC
compliance is very important thing, even is someone doesn't like the
RFC.

But I am still looking forward to see a good (current OpenPGP usage is
not good), pure-Jabber end-to-end encryption. I could implement both
(IETF and JEP), but as user and for communication with other Jabber
users (not other IM systems) I will choose the JEP one.
