The spec is an adaptation of the SIP negotiation but it could probably
benefit of leveraging some of XMPP embedded client/server behavior of the
<iq> stanzas.
In addition, XMPP being a connection oriented protocol (at least in its
present form) I have a feeling that some of the intermediate states reported
during the session establishment, that come directly from SIP, could be
simplified, if at all necessary. The result being a leaner protocol.
That said, this is the only public document that I know of on the subject
and a de-facto starting point.

let's get back to the discussion of VOIP and the handling of media streams.
This topic has arisen multiple times , but never seems to make headway.
Do people feel that Joe's SDPng spec is an appropriate starting point ?
also are Jabber Inc. or any of the other commercial vendors moving towards
standards in this area ?
