[JDEV] JID Validation using REGEX

Has anyone come up with a RegEx expression to validate a JID? 

Looking through
http://www.jabber.org/ietf/draft-ietf-xmpp-core-15.html#addressing is
appears to be non-trivial.

The immediate variations are:
chris at jabber.org/laptop
chris/laptop
jabber.org
chris at jabber.org

Validating all of these using RegEx is proving to be pretty difficult.
