If you want to do business with a company that uses questionable tactics
and refuses to cooperate with the jabber community in order to resolve
any questions/doubts then go right ahead. However, if it was me, I
wouldn't touch them with a 10ft pole. 

I would recommend looking into one of the commercial companies listed on
jabber.org to find a IM solution.
