[JDEV] Listing Users who are Connected to the Server

I'd like to make a PHP web page which reads & displays the content of the file named "onlineUsers.txt".
That file stores JIDs of all online users (i.e. connected to the jabber server).
And that file can be updated either "regularly and automatically" or "whenever the web page is visited".
Would anyone tell me how to achieve what I want?
I wonder whether the status of users is stored as files in Jabber server directory or not.
If yes, then I can just let the PHP script to read & parse those files.
