[JDEV] Looking for pointers on compiling jabber-1.4.2 under cygwin/WinXP

Argh, I know, it's Windows (XP to be exact)...

But I still would like to compile up JabberD and am having problems with
getting pthreads to compile.  Does anyone have a short howto massage
pthreads into working with Jabber.  I've grabbed the pthreads source and
DLLs from http://sources.redhat.com/pthreads-win32/ but haven't had the
luck to discover which switches to throw/files to copy.

Anyone have a good pointer?
