[JDEV] Conferencing Componets Installation Error

You have to run the configure script of jabberd first. This will create the platform-settings needed.

Trying to install the conference component of the jabber ser , but getting the follwoing errors.
$ gzip -d conference-0.4.tar.gz
$ tar -xvf conference-0.4.tar
x conference-0.4, 0 bytes, 0 tape blocks
x conference-0.4/Makefile, 381 bytes, 1 tape blocks
x conference-0.4/README, 2313 bytes, 5 tape blocks
x conference-0.4/conference.c, 12775 bytes, 25 tape blocks
x conference-0.4/conference.h, 5169 bytes, 11 tape blocks
x conference-0.4/conference_room.c, 12285 bytes, 24 tape blocks
x conference-0.4/conference_user.c, 10858 bytes, 22 tape blocks
$ cd conference-0.4/
$ ls
Makefile           conference.c       conference_room.c
README             conference.h       conference_user.c
$ make
Makefile:1: ../platform-settings: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `../platform-settings'.  Stop.
$ make
Makefile:1: ../platform-settings: N! o such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `../platform-settings'.  Stop.
 
Anyone can solve this problem??
