I use the jabberbeans to implement our BuddySpace client 
(http://buddyspace.sourceforge.net) - you can browse the sources on 
http://sourceforge.net/projects/buddyspace. Since I started that with an 
older version of jabberbeans, which didn't include GroupChatBean I 
implemented my own, but the usage of all jabber-beans is quite similar.

Maybe more populated mailing list is jdev at jabber.org though it's not 
strictly jabberbeans focused.
