IMO, PASS or peer-to-peer via oob is going to be your best option for any
significant sized file. Most Jabber servers have a bandwidth throttle on
connections which limits the amount of data allowed (actually it limits the
data rate). This means your xfer through Jabber will almost always be
abysmally slow no matter how compressed things get.
