Yes. From the JEP: http://www.jabber.org/jeps/jep-0045.html, the initial
room presence sent must contain an <x> tag in the MUC namespace. Note:
this will then stop generation of join/rename/leave messages from the
service (unless you enable the room option 'consider all clients as
legacy') A MUC compliant client is responsible for generating its own
messages, as then the client can ensure that the language matches the
user. Its simply a case of examining the presence packet received and
displaying the apropriate message.
