[JDEV] Jabber and user database

You could use xdb_perl from http://www.jabberstudio.org, although it is in a pitiful state right now as I find time to work on it some more. Or you could use xdb_sql also found at JabberStudio.org. xdb_sql is better tested and probably more robust, but I don't know how easy it would be to integrate with a database other than the one it ships with.

Good luck.

Subject: [JDEV] Jabber and user database

Greetings,

I've start to use Jabber for some days, and I've found it very usefull. I've a question for you, and I hope you can help me or who can.
I hope that I can use a user database that I've already in use under MySql. The user database is mantained by my forum, made in phpbb (do you know it?). So it is possible to make jabber able to read phpbb user database? I would like to grant IM service to my forum's users, making unavailable the choice to register directly from the client.
Can you please help me?
Thank you
