Are you saying that on your win2k server jabberd is successfully saving the

Guys,
        It sounds funny, but I was able to run JabberD on win2k server but
not in win2k Professional version.
       The other things I had to do are
1) run JabberD from the console mode (cmd prompt),
2) Not close the console
3) Specify the Host name at the parameter
4) Specify the Home Directory  too
 
 It worked even if the JabberD was Restarted
You could check It out
And then make further decisions
