[JDEV] File transfers

I agree that some sort of firewall workaround is required, I happen to think
server assisted transfer aren't it.  I would prefer an HTTP based method,
although the "null Jabber client Jabber server" method has some nice
characteristics (which is the server assisted model).  I also would like to
see whatever we decide be "client-transparent".

That's probably better, but the gestalt of the discussion at the moment
seems to be "server-assisted transfers are stupid," which is why I posted in
favor of server intermediation. You pointed out another way in which
server-assist might be advantageous -- distribution.

If p2p is the One True Answer, maybe we should ditch the jabber server
altogether and just chat over gnutella.
