Exactly because if you tried the email server and client would probably
crash, or grind to a halt and lock up.
But if jabber is transfering the files out of band I dont see the comparison
that is trying to be made to email attachments??, I would think Jabber
operating in this manor would be perfectly suited for the purpose of sending
massive files p2p, and the argument that you would use something suited to
the purpose also doesnt hold water, because if you just want to send a
massive file to one of your friends you wouldnt want to use Kazza or similar
(if you had an alternative) because that is not what the purpose of it is,
it is for sharing files with the world, not just sending a single large file
to a mate, you would want to use something like a Jabber p2p file transfer.
