[JDEV] xdb fail to open file ?

Hi All, I have been observing the following warning message with jabber in 
the error.log with jabber server 1.4.1 (with Red Hat Linux 7.2)even though 
the file exists in the spool. Does any know the reason for this ? By the way 
I have increased the file-max limit to 16,800

"xdb_file failed to open file ./spool/jabber.xyz.com/luymax.xml:"

Also there have been times when I could login successfully but I did not get 
the presence from buddies also I was not logged in to other IM's through 
transports. On logging in and off a couple of times everything worked fine. 
Is this any way related to the above error ? Any thoughts ? Thanks a lot.
