[JDEV] Handling long channel lists in IRC

Hi,
I'm trying out the JCF IRC transport under
development.

When I browse against an Undernet server, the jabberd
core size goes up to 50MB, and the Gabber I use for
testing crashes.

I guess it's not wise to do browse such servers?
I think that in native IRC clients, listing all
channels is discouraged anyway.

Or maybe we should have a protocol to get a list of
channels but not keep them in core - let the client
keep the list?
