I don't neccesarilly know if any of this is relevant, but here's a brief log of an irc conversation i had while a
friend tried to figure out a little more about getting about 20 of the aim-t's "Talking too fast" messages:
<Geh`rehmee> we were obviously able to trigger the problem with heavy traffic... let's confirm that the error doesn't occur under lack of traffic.
<tarnar> well..
<tarnar> i'm not getting my contact list :\
<tarnar> it's not sayin who's online
<Geh`rehmee> then leave it alone for a while and see if it works again in.... say... 15 minutes
<tarnar> and why is that a solution?
<tarnar> ohhhhh
<tarnar> i kno what did it
<tarnar> when i flashed n/a
<tarnar> it sends <presence> messages
<tarnar> lots of them
<tarnar> it sends a <presence> for everyone in my list
<tarnar> not just the online ones
<tarnar> so it must get mad at me and the transport tells me to **** off and stop being so noisy
<tarnar> so why am i flashing extended away sometimes?
<Geh`rehmee> tarnar: i'll note that you flashed away once we started with the uber-traffic
<tarnar> i remember you said that
<Geh`rehmee> tarnar: it may be aol's response to something.
<tarnar> no
<tarnar> i bet it's the transport
<Geh`rehmee> could be.
<tarnar> if they put limiters on it
<tarnar> then those limiters may not be too smart
<Geh`rehmee> could be.
<Geh`rehmee> mind if i post this log to jdev? might contain an inkling of enlightenment.
<tarnar> it's not a very good log
<tarnar> but i guess so
<Geh`rehmee> not the jabber log... this irc conversation.
<litui> I don't mind...let me just say one thing tho.
<litui> Burma!
