[JDEV] protocol question.

hi, i got a problem whil writing my jabber client.
if i register to a gateway it works quite fine.
if i unregister then, that works quite fine, too.
if i want to register again, Without Reconnecting, i get a 
<registered/> tag when i request the reuqired login instructions... if 
i simply ignor it and let the user login again with his pwd and 
username/uin it DOES NOT work. any idea what taht means/how 
to solve this problem!?!?!
