[JDEV] org vs com

I am trying to create a flash-based IM client and have noticed that there is 
a large difference between jabber.org and jabber.com.

Is there a status page that indicates what is running on each of the servers 
(patch level etc)?

The problem I am having is that the .org site seems to close the socket 
connection after I send the flash specific request.  The .com site does not 
and actually lets me authenticate successfully.

Given that I am in development mode would it be better to use the .org site 
where possible?

I would run a local instance of the jabber server but unfortunately I do not 
have a linux box :-(
